Margaret I Weaver Scholarship
Margaret I. Weaver was a Math Teacher and became an Engineer. Margaret was beloved member of the Soroptimist International of Harrisburg and it is through her generosity that the Club is able to offer a scholarship to a female high school student in the Harrisburg area who plans to obtain a bachelors degree with a major in Math, Science, Engineering or Computer Science
- Applicants must have plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, or Engineering.
- Applicants must demonstrate academic ability with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
- Applications must be postmarked on or before the due date given on the application and include an official transcript. Applicant must provide to Soroptimist International of Harrisburg, PA, Inc. a letter of acceptance from the College or University she will be attending.
- Applications will only be accepted on the official application form.
- Winning applicants will be invited to attend a club meeting to meet the members.
- THE AWARD CHECK OF $2,000.00 WILL BE PAYABLE ONLY TO THE SPECIFIED POST-SECONDARY SCHOOL THAT YOU WILL BE ATTENDING.
Applications for the 2024 award are now posted and will be due on April 26.
