Welcome to the Soroptimist International of Harrisburg, PA club website.
SI Harrisburg is starting it’s 87th year of service to women and girls in Harrisburg, the North Atlantic Region and beyond.
In October we collected cleaning products to be shared with those working with Brethren Housing
Association’s Transitional Housing and we heard from BHA’s Executive Director. We provided Brethren Housing with a $1,000 check to assist their work with the homeless as well as one of our knotted children’s blankets. Members worked on a 2nd blanket which will be given to BHA in the near future.
March’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church. We welcome any woman interested in learning more about Soroptimist.
We will present awards to our two Live Your Dream winners and collect diapers for the Healthy Steps Diaper Bank. Our Hand’s On Activity will be Love Notes for for Diaper packs.
We are part of Soroptimist International, a worldwide organization of women interested in helping other women. Soroptimists are dedicated to working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. As a global organization, Soroptimists reach out to less fortunate women and girls allowing them and empowering them to reach their goals and dreams. Worldwide Soroptimists help women through service and financial support at the local, region, national and international levels.
Soroptimist are truly focused on ensuring that women and girls acquire the skills to reach their individual potential in an environment free from domestic violence.
