The Harrisburg Club of Soroptimist International celebrates award events throughout the year.

The awards celebrate women and girls as well as organizations for their outstanding achievements, service and contributions to the community with monetary awards. In 2022-2023, the Central Pennsylvania Literacy Council, Shalom House and the YWCA Shelter were all recognized. Each group provides support and encouragement to women hoping to re-enter the workplace.
Each year the Club gives two cash awards to women who are single parents, head-of household and the primary financial support for their families. The Live your Dream award supports women who are advancing their education seeking to improve their employment status. The winners this year are both pursuing degrees in health care services.
In 2023 we also recognized Corrie Lingenfelter with our Ruby Award for Women Helping Women. Corrie is the executive director of The Downtown Daily Bread, providing food and services to the homeless of Harrisburg.
